When it comes to bicycle theft, the saying remains true- “if they want it bad enough, they’ll take it.” The designers at Cycling Boom believe bigger chains and bulky locks are just one solution to deterring theft, which is why they’ve created a unique tag system that is effective in a different way. These discrete metal tags can be placed anywhere on the bike and feature a custom identification number that can be looked up in an online universal registry system. Buyers can look up the used bike’s ID to ensure they aren’t purchasing a stolen bike, discouraging overall theft.

Quando si tratta di furti di biciclette, il detto resta vero: "se lo vogliono abbastanza, lo prenderanno." I designer di  Cycling Boom credono che anche i più grandi lucchetti ingombranti non siano una soluzione al furto ma uno scoraggiamento. Per questo che hanno creato un sistema unico di tag. Questi tag metallici discreti possono essere posizionato in qualsiasi punto della moto o della bici e dispongono di un numero di identificazione personalizzato che può essere guardato in un sistema on-line. Gli acquirenti di una bici di seconda mano possono cercare l'ID assicurandosi che non si tratti di una bici rubata. Questa etica dovrebbe dunque scoraggiare il sistema dei furti.

Paris-London by bike

Lo scorso giugno è stata inaugurata una pista ciclabile che collega la cattedrale di Notre-Dame de Paris con il Ponte di Westminster. Il percorso in realtà si snoda per due possibili vie: una attraversa
Chantilly e Beauvais, ed è lunga 310km; l’altra passa per Bray-et-Lu e Gisors, snodandosi per 246km. I più allenati ci possono impiegare un paio di giorni. Chi invece volesse scegliere questo viaggio come possibile vacanza può riservare una o due settimane. L’allenamento però è bene iniziarlo subito. Se non ve la sentite, ma non volete nemmeno rinunciare a questo viaggio, allora sappiate che ci sono diverse possibilità di alleggerirlo percorrendo alcuni tratti in treno.

Last June a cycleway that connect the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral with the Westminster Bridge was opened. Actually the route forks in two possible roads: one crosses Chantilly and Beauvais and it’s long 310 km; the other passes through Bray-et-Lu and Gisors, covering 246 km. The most trained people can spend a couple of days. Instead, who wants to choose this tour how a possible holiday can book one or two weeks. But the training should start immediately. If you don’t feel up to, but even you don’t want to give up this journey, then you know that there are different possibilities to relieve it travelling by train for some tracts.

Alchemist: New Hub Penta

Penta è un mozzo posteriore per utilizzo Race Cross Country e Marathon, caratterizzato dalla presenza di ben cinque cuscinetti per il massimo dell'affidabilità in assenza di torsioni.

Penta è stato studiato in collaborazione con racer professionisti in funzione delle esigenze della categoria "competition". Il risultato è un mozzo altamente affidabile e rigido per distribuire al massimo la potenza. L'aver aggiunto un cuscinetto in più rispetto ai mozzi tradizionali rende Penta davvero unico e innovativo.

Il corpo principale è realizzato in alluminio 7075 T6 con un procedimento a controllo numerico. Il corpo centrale è in carbonio 18K IM UD, la cui trama all'esterno si sviluppa in senso unidirezionale così da ottenere la massima rigidità, mentre è incrociata all'interno per un’elevata resistenza alla torsione. Al fine di aumentare l’assorbimento di sollecitazioni e impatti, Penta è stato realizzato con resina IMPACT-PROOF contenente polimeri plastici, in uno stampo ad alta pressione.

Penta was designed in collaboration with professional racers according to “competition” category requirements. The result is a highly reliable and rigid hub for maximum power distribution. The addition of an extra bearing compared to traditional hubs makes Penta truly unique and innovative.

The main frame is created in numerically controlled 7075 T6 aluminium. The central frame is made of 18K IM UD carbon fibre with a unidirectional external weave for maximum rigidity and an internal unidirectional cross weave for increased resistance to torsion. In order to increase absorption of impact stress, Penta was manufactured using a high pressure mould with IMPACT-PROOF resin containing plastic polymers.
