As a chair

Do you remember Thonet Chair?
This bike celebrates it.
The architect Andy Martin use the same technique to produce the wood bike frame but he also proposes carbon rims with a particular design. It seems handmade but I'm not sure that it is.

Alchemist presents Magneto

For the first time Alchemist prented the hub with Magneto technology (patent pending) at ExpoBici.
MAGNETO is a technology, covered by two Alchemist patents, thanks to which the hub offers continuous performance, the coupling is fast and the hub becomes indestructible. The heart of MAGNETO/’s innovation is the ratchet handling, which given its magnetic strength is no more than that of spring mechanics. Springs constituted the weak point of the hub as it was natural for them to be subject to wear, and over time to lose elasticity, slowing down the coupling and compromising the workings of the hub itself, sometimes causing the ratchets to break and consequently necessitating replacement. Having to access the springs constituted the second weak point of the hub as the seals do not render it completely impermeable to water and dust. In a hub equipped with the MAGNETO system the physical strength generated by the magnets to move the ratchets is practically unlimited over time and offers continuous performance even during coupling. Not having to access the hub cavity for maintenance purposes, it was possible to completely seal it thus rendering it completely indestructible.

Day of Dead by bike

Day of the Dead in Albuquerque the Marigold Parade by bike to celebrate the dead by having the living gather for music, dance, food, art and visiting with family and friends.

2012 parade takes place Sunday, November 4, beginning at 2 p.m.

There are altars, or ofrendas, built in memory of those who have passed away, covered in flowers, often marigolds, and decorated with skulls and other calavera art. Once the parade is over, the festival begins, and there are few parties in Albuquerque that match the happy revelry of this annual event.

The parade starts at Centro Familiar and Isleta, and ends at the Westside Community Center, 1250 Isleta SW.

Bike Holden

Real bicycle enthusiasts never separate from their beloved. Fearing that somebody could steal their bicycle, they usually bring it home with them. So why not  make it into a piece of home furniture.

Croatia's MTB root

Given the undulating and unspoilt local terrain, hiking is an obvious attraction, and hundreds of kilometres of trails cover the Lika and Karlovac regions. In the last few years, local tourist authorities have started to promote tourism to the area through the creation of trail maps and improved trail markings. Many of the region’s trails are also suitable for mountain bikers, including a 51km circular route from the town of Generalski Stol and a 26km route along the Mrežnica river from Juzbašići village.
